I saw this overnight and while it is simply not possible to respond to everything we are asked I feel like some further commentary here might be helpful.
There is no doubt that parts of the new token launch have not gone to plan. While certain aspects of the launch went better than expected (for example the uplift in daily volume, which many members of the community had been asking for, getting a listing on Kraken etc), there have been some very disappointing aspects too. Some of these were known unknowns while others were unknown unknowns. The latter you can't plan for but the former you can.
Prior to the new token launch we took a lot of advice from external parties who had no connection with Alkimi (or Sui) as well as, obviously, using focal groups both within the Alkimi family and people we had existing working relationships. The ambit of this feedback was vast and, at times, contradictory ("A" says great, "B" says terrible). We tried to steer a path through all of this feedback and, ultimately, the responsibility for the decisions falls on us as a team and where we have got things wrong that we shouldn't then it goes without saying that we apologise (in case that was in doubt as was suggested by some comments).
Between the advisors we spoke with were hundreds of years of TradFi experience and decades of DeFi experience. This was deliberate to try and handle the almost unique issue of moving blockchain and migrating a token (some other companies have done this but not many).
That's the past, we have, as I have mentioned, stopped all the DEX rewards and are listening to the community and advisory feedback we are receiving. This is a constantly evolving process with conversations literally happening every day.
Going forwards, we are (once everyone has drawn breath and come back from much earned holiday) going to be doing a lot of token based work in the coming months. As you know, AdFi is earmarked for Q1 2026, which is a major undertaking. Chorley and I met with a regulatory team on Monady to start the process by which this can be launched.
As a final comment, I repeat what the CMs constantly say, which is that we do value feedback both positive and negative. All we would ask is that you remember that we are, after all, only human and we, like everyone else, make mistakes. Let's always try and do better, be kinder and support one another (which isn't always how crypto goes).
